25 Things You Didn’t Know About Terror

In honor of their upcoming album, The 25th Hour, I talked to Terror drummer Nick Jett to find out 25 Things You Didn’t Know About Terror. The album is set to drop August 7th via Victory Records. Check out his list below and be sure to follow the band on Facebook to keep up with tour dates and updates!

1. The band was named last minute by glancing quickly at a Sheer Terror VHS while the “Sheer” was blocked by something.

2. The album “One With the Underdogs” was almost named “Overcome”.

3. Every Terror album and Ep has the word “The” in it and has 4 words.

4. [Nick] I’ve been straight edge for 15 years.

5. Terror’s first full US tour was with Death Threat.

6. Terror’s first music video for the song “Push it Away” was produced by Ian Mcfarland, bassist of Blood for Blood.

7. Scott used to be a taxi driver in the city of Bufalo, NY.

8. The album “Lowest of the Low” cost $1200 to record.

9. Terror’s first show was with Piece By Piece, Knife Fight and Annihilation Time on Oxnard, CA.

10. Frank from Hatebreed previously played guitar in Terror.

11. The first time Scott and I met was Terror’s first practice in my garage at my parents house.

12. Years ago we played two shows in one night in Italy. One at midnight and one down the street at another venue at 2am.

13. The song “Hard Lessons” was once featured on the MTV reality tv show “Road Rules, Real World Challenge”.

14. We’re banned from the Whiskey a Gogo in Hollywood for life.

15. At our first show we covered Breakdown songs “All I Ask” & “Kickback”.

16. The first song we wrote was “Another Face”.

17. The first time we ever played out of the country was in Tijuana Mexico and we cover an Integrity song.

18. Since Jordan joined the band it’s been the longest consistent line up since the band started in 2002.

19. One with the Underdogs was recorded at Sound City Studios were “Nevermind” by Nirvana was recorded.

20. At a show in Schweinfurt, Germany years ago we played the song “Push It Away” with Scott on drums and me singing.

21. When we were a new band many people were confused and thought we were called “The Terror”.  Some old fliers have us billed as “The Terror”.

22. The only state in America we’ve never played is Alaska.

23. Our long time friend and Terror road dog “The Smacman” did a 6 month cross country walkabout from Virginia Beach, VA to Oceanside, CA.
