” According to a Gallup poll from July, 60 percent of Americans think abortion should be either illegal or “legal only in a few circumstances.†Only seventeen states pay for the procedure for poor women beyond the standards of the 1977 Hyde Amendment—meaning if the woman’s life is in danger or she’s been the victim of rape or incest. Just two months before the health-care bill’s passage in the House, a Rasmussen poll found that 48 percent of the public didn’t want abortion covered in any government-subsidized health plan, while just 13 percent did. (Thirty-two percent believed in a “neutral†approach—though what on Earth that means is hard to say.) “

I came across an interesting article from New York Magazine that I thought was worth sharing. Abortion seems to be a touchy, yet popular subject in this country. The norm for politics is for democrats to be pro-choice and republicans to be pro-life, however this year, Obama claimed to be pro-life. I mean, I doubt that 90% of the people that voted for him even KNEW his views on everything, they just got sucked into the whole idea of him. Blah blah…
This article intrigues me because normally publications are left-wing, and pretty much only publish things that support those views. This article boggles the controversial question of Is American really pro-choice? You should definitely check it out. I love people who are ballsy and go public with things that they KNOW are going to cause over half the country’s blood to boil. This is one reason I looOoOooOOooove John Ziegler!
He is out there doing everything he can to shed light on the right, knowing that he’s only going to piss the majority of people off.

John Ziegler
While it’s a little cliche (the topic of abortion), it seems that it will never “go away” or be resolved. There are arguments for both sides (pro and con), but while the majority of people claim to be liberal, they may not be pro-choice. Definitely check the article out, it’s worth taking a few minutes to read, I was just so surprised to see something like that in New York Magazine. Now if only this country could make me “surprised” at things like this more often!
