AILD Singer Will Be in Jail and Lost Prophets Singer is Not Dead
It’s a sad week for some of the men in music. As I Lay Dying vocalist Tim Lambesis has been sentenced to six years in jail for the attempted murder of his estranged wife. This story broke a year ago when he hired a hitman to murder his wife. You can read more on the updated jail sentence on Lambgoat’s website, which also features tidbits from an interview. Lambesis mentioned:
“I did fall flat on my face. I hit rock bottom. I lost everything. The trauma, the solitude: It made me the person I think they hoped I would eventually become. I know I have a long road ahead of me. I know that making amends will be a difficult process. But if they are open for it, this story of tragedy turning into redemption, it’s a story that’s just as much in their hands at this point as it is mine. They wanted to see me go through whatever it took to make me a good father. Now I have, and I’m not allowed to be a father.”
In other sad men news, Lost Prophets singer Ian Watkins was found dead from suicide in his jail cell April 2nd. I know that isn’t this week, but I just found out so it’s news to me. The singer was behind bars for molesting children. You can read more about his death here except that it was all actually a hoax. A big, fat, pointless hoax. Good job, human race.
