Usually, when you get word of a motocross rider’s death, it’s from motorcycle related injuries. When I got wind of Dave Chase’s passing, I assumed just that. Instead, I came to find out that he succumbed to H1N1. This happened back in November, but we can’t all my on top of our news, now can we? 
I didn’t know him personally, but it seems like he was a great guy. I’ve never read anything bad about him and he seemed to be a genuine dude. It’s always sad when someone passes away, and especially when it’s someone young and the death is unexpected. Dave will be greatly missed and the motocross world will always remember him!
