Killed at Wal-Mart!

The day after Thanksgiving, also known as Black Friday, might be the biggest shopping say of the year- but is it worth risking your life over? Personally, I’d rather spend the extra money than risk my life trying to save a few bucks. Then again, people should be civilized enough to not trample over people at all, let alone to the point of death. Unfortunately, that’s just not the case, especially with people in this country.

In New York, a Wal-Mart worker was killed by a stampede of shoppers early Friday morning. He was pronounced dead at the hospital by 6 a.m. Witnesses say that while the man was laying on the ground (after getting trampled), shoppers continued stepping over him to start shopping. When he was rushed to the hospital, they made an announcement that the store was closing because someone had been killed, and people were actually yelling things like, “I’ve been in line since yesterday morning!” and continued to shop.

Doesn’t that make you sick to your stomach? It is so sad that the human race can be so.. horrible! People are out there, dying in wars, getting killed fighting for this country, and people are awful enough to trample a poor man to death while he’s at work? AT WAL MART!! Come on. Then again, I want to say I’m surprised, but nothing people do now a days surprises me much, as we’ve witnessed, stupid people in large groups can do some serious damage. This is a perfect example.

Well, I hope Joe Shmo got his 50″ plasma TV and $10 vacuum, because a man died over it. Good job, America.

On a similar note, two men were killed at a Toys “R” Us in California, after shooting each other with handguns they brought into the store. No one knows exactly what their fight was about, witnesses were only as close as the next isle when the fight erupted and shots were fired.
