Metal Blade Records Signs Bloodclot (members of Cro Mags, QOTSA, Danzig)

For those of you that follow the Cro Mags, I’m sure you’ve seen that vocalist John Joseph has re-formed his band, Bloodclot. The project features members that have been in bands such as Queens of the Stone Age, the Dwarves, Agnostic Front and Danzig, among others. This group of hardcore pioneers have just been signed to Metal Blade Records, which I am stoked for because I am eager to hear what they have in store for an album!

The Bloodroot lineup is:

John Joseph (Cro-Mags) – Vocals
Todd Youth (ex-Danzig) – Guitars
Nick Oliveri (ex-Queens of the Stone Age) – Bass
Joey Castillo (ex-Queens of the Stone Age, ex-Danzig) – Drums

These four dudes first came together when AJ Novello, Cro Mags guitarist, was unable to play a show and John Joseph hit up Todd Youth to fill in.  They rekindled an old friendship and loved playing together so much, they decided it was time to re-form Bloodclot.

Metal Blade Records owner Brian Slagel comments:

“Super excited to be working with these legends! The material is fresh and what you would expect from such an amazing group! Thanks to Tal Ronnen of Crossroads Kitchen for his help on this too!”

The band will release an album in Spring 2017 with a worldwide tour to follow.  Stay tuned for more updates coming soon!
