Thursday, May 19, 2009, some boys from the Metal Mulisha headed to Camp Pendleton to visit our Marines. People know my opinion on it all.. I can’t support the troops enough and I absolutely LOVE when people take time out of their busy lives to go do things for them. I’m sure the M/M riders are busy enough, and they all just experienced a horrible tragedy a few months ago, losing Jeremy Lusk, so this is just so sweet of them to do this. <3

Deegan being intereviewed by a Marine

“Wow, what a day! We headed out to Camp Pendleton yesterday to hang out and ride some demos for our friends in the Marines. Ox, Taka and Fitz were going big on the ramp-to-ramp in some, at times, windy conditions. But hey, these Marines risk their lives for our country every day, so the guys still went for it. Deegan and Fluffer took turns announcing on the mic, and Twitch even made it in time to ride the last demo of the day. I can’t even remember the last time I saw Twitch ride in a demo, so that was cool to see him come out and show his support for the troops.

Between shows we all piled in trucks and drove out to the air field where they keep all the helicopters. We got to go out on the field and check out some of he latest and greatest in American Military machinery…the AH-1Z Cobra and the UH-1 Huey Helicopters. Two words to describe these things and the guys that pilot them: BAD ASS!

We can’t thank the Marines enough for showing us a little glimpse into their world, being so hospitable and letting us show them what the Metal Mulisha is all about!”

LOVE this!! Ha ha, I really do! The Metal Mulisha are some of the most hardcore FMX riders out there, and this just makes them more awesome.
