So last night was the Protest the Hero, Unearth, White Chapel, Gwen Stacy and Acacia Strain show at Bogart’s in Cincinnati. I’m not going to lie, when I arrived, Acacia Strain was playing, and then I left after Protest the Hero, so I didn’t catch all the bands (oh, darn!), but I was only going to watch PTH =)
It was the second time seeing them live, the first being only a few months ago at the Warped Tour at Riverbend. I was blown away the first time seeing them, because I wasn’t sure what to expect. For such a young, technical band, they sound amazing live and really impressed me. The second time around, I wasn’t as shocked because I knew what to expect, of course. But I still though they put on a great show. It was a longer set, of course, because Warped sets are always short.
They started with Goddess Bound and ended with Sequioa Throne, without a dissapointment inbetween. Yeah.. there were a few mishaps here and there, but they don’t claim to be perfect and I don’t expect them to be! =)
Of course, I must mention the original reason for attending the show (BESIDES the fact that I love PTH…), and that is for Vagrant Records. After the show, I handed out Fortress (PTH’s latest album) posters and PTH stickers. Fans seemed pleased! And the band seemed appreciative of my support as well. I’m hoping to line up an interview with Rody Walker, the lead singer, so stay tuned for more details!!
