I have wanted one for as long as I can remember, and I knew I was inevitably going to get one I just had to save up money and all that. My parents were obviously super against it, I am the youngest child and they are always going to be protective over me. But that is not going to stop me.. sorry, dad.

I am definitely a newbie when it comes to actually maintaining a bike and all that crap, so my other friends with bikes have been extremely helpful in this whole thing! Along the way, I’ve discovered some great websites that have tons of gear and whatnot, so I thought I’d share them in case other new riders were looking for stuff, too!

This one has some great prices. Not too much high-end brands (icon, Fox, etc..) but it has some good stuff, nonetheless. Most motorcycle gear sites have sections for women, and I’m pleasantly surprised at how much female motorcycle gear is available.

It is a tad annoying that it is likely pink, but at least pink will make you more easily visible to other people on the road! I’m not a girly girl by any means, but I kinda dig my hot pink gear. It’s keeps you a little cooler in the heat (obviously darker colors absorb heat more), and like I said, it helps get you noticed which is always a good thing because it’s much safer.

I’m sure Danzig was referring to a different kind of “riding” when he sang, “She Rides” but I always get that song in my head when I am warming my bike up and getting my gear on. I find it humorous and totally awesome at the same time because remember kids, Danzig rules all.
