With all the 17 year old high school drop outs wearing their little sister’s jeans and screaming about life experiences they are YEARS away from; it’s refreshing to see actual adults playing MUSIC! For fans of bands like The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphy’s (errr, catch my Irish drift?), you have to check out The Mighty Regis, an up and coming seven-piece band that will tickle your lucky musical charms.
Most people that have met me at one time or another can recognize how much I appreciate a hard working band, and these guys (and girl) are a prime example. They are completely self funded and doing this on their own. If that’s not punk rock, then what is? I love seeing stuff like this, so definitely check these guys out and show them some support!
At the recent 2010 Warped Tour press conference, I had the chance to chat with Franky, Paddy, Gavin and Ben (pictured below).
We discussed everything from their upcoming stint on the Warped Tour to their favorite whiskey (yummm).
