“I was spending this past weekend as many good Christians spend theirs; drunk with a gun in my hand, staring at a framed picture of Tom Cruise.

Suddenly, my mind started to drift towards Jesus. I bet Jesus start out a lot like Tom… popular guy, maybe handsome? Belonged to a religion that’s looked down upon and misunderstood by many, and talking abuot strange, new, scary ideas. Who knows?

As time passes, perhaps Tom’s legend will grow. Myth will blend with truth and other people’s exploits will be credited to him. He truly could be the “Top Gun.”

Think about it: in 500 years, Tom Cruise could be the new Jesus. All we need now is a true believer to nail him to a cross… or a spaceship.”
