I am normally not a huge fan of HBO series, typically because I don’t have HBO every year.. but this season is a whole new story. After being talked into watching Generation Kill, I started giving more HBO series a chance. Of course, Sex and the City is one of their most successful series to date, but I’m not really into that one. However, since the first episode of True Blood, I’ve been hooked. I am determined to read the book by Charlaine Harris, in which the entire series was based on.

For some reason, I am just enamoured with Stephen Moyer’s character, Bill Compton. He is the main vampire, who is also Sookie’s (played by Anna Paquin) love interest. He makes me wish vampires existed! Ha ha.. as creepy as they can be in some movies, they seem interesting (but still dangerous..) in the series. However, vampires aren’t the only surreal characters in the show, in the most recent episode, Sam Merlotte (played by Sam Trummell),came out as a “shape-shifter”, or, someone that can change into an animal (often referred to simply as, “shifters”), so long as there is an animal near them to model from. Also, Sookie Stackhouse’s character is a telepathic waitress, so she can read people’s thoughts (except the vampire’s, which is one reason she likes Bill so much). 

I freakin love this show. Every Sunday, I just itch for it to be 9 p.m., and then I find myself watching the episodes ‘On Demand’ for hours at a time when I’m bored on the weekends. God help me. ha ha
