7 Seconds Signs to Rise Records
Rise Records is upping their cred a bit with their recent 7 Seconds signing! These dudes are super well-known in the hardcore genre, and I’m stoked because a new signing means new music is likely on the way! 7 Seconds is one of the originators of West Coast hardcore, influencing a slew of bands like Youth of Today, Gorilla Biscuits and newer bands like Title Fight.
The band is gearing up for a new 7″ and a new full-length to be recorded in Sacramento this summer.
Vocalist Kevin Seconds commented:
“We have about 20 new songs that we’ll record the best 13 songs from. This new record will be all about the energy and drive we still very much possess as a hardcore band. It’s been 9 long years since we’ve recorded a new album so there’s a great deal of urgency in them, with just the right mixture of both fast and mid-tempo tunes for people to sink their teeth into.“
