88 Fingers Louie LIVES!
As if it’s not awesome enough that 88 Fingers Louie has been playing a couple of shows lately, but they recently announced the release of a new LIVE album! Yea!! They posted a blog about it on their MySpace:
Many of you kept asking for us to release a recording of our 10-year reunion show and we have done just that! We’ve put together a 78-minute, 26-song CD of the live show – mess ups, funny stuff and all. It is entitled “Lives” and below is a picture of the cover. We are “officially” releasing the CD on October 10, at our Riot Fest show at the Congress Theater. A few weeks after that, we will be attempting to make it available for mail order. We are still figuring out the best way to do that, but we will make sure that all of you can a get copy somehow. No plans to release it digitally as of yet. This will not be released on any label; we’ve decided to handle everything ourselves. As a little teaser, we’ve put up a sample of a few of the songs so you can listen to it on myspace. www.myspace.com/88FingersLouie. Hope you like it!

Coming out October 10th @ Riot Fest!!
While the reunion isn’t permanent, I’m super pumped that they’re playing some shows and releasing this album. It’s a relief to hear some good music in this emo-all-sounds-the-same-crap music scene that seems to be thriving today. 88FL is definitely a band that’s music will live on, whether they’re together or not!
