Holy CRAP! Did 88 Fingers Louie read my mind or what? I’ve been dying for them to do a reunion show (or just freakin get back together!!) and they recently announced they were doing just that!! 🙂

Saturday, August 15, 88 Fingers Louie is playing at Chicago’s Bottom Lounge (1375 W. Lake) and I am sooo going. They posted a MySpace bulletin as follows:
Having been completely blown away over the level of support the band has received over the years (these last few being particularly insane), we, like our mentors the Blues Brothers, are putting the band back together for one long-awaited reunion show.
We are pleased to announce that we will be playing August 15th in Chicago at the Bottom Lounge. Information about when the show will go on sale will be announced soon so pay attention-you do not want to sleep on this truly special evening. Regretfully, Joe Principe cannot take part in this reunion as Rise Against is his main focus these days, but he has given this reunion his blessing. Filling in his shoes will be Bassmaster General John Contreras.

I am a little sad that Joe won’t be there, but I will take what I can get! Plus as long as Mr. Presicion is there.. I’m good! Ha ha
Mr. Precision
They are definitely one of my all time favorite bands, and they seem like such great guys. Normally, even if I love a band, they may have a song (or a few..) that I admittedly don’t like. With 88FL, I don’t recall ever hearing a song of theirs that I didn’t like. I mean.. I’m a HUGE Alkaline Trio fan, even though they’re total sell outs at this point, haha, but I have tons of their songs that I can’t stand. So, that says a lot about them [88FL] and how good they are!

SOOOO… the moral of this story: 88 Fingers Louie rules. Check them out if you’re not familiar with them. If not.. then eat it!! 🙂
