A Fat Wreck Releases Free Digital Compilation
[open-ended] Films (in association with Dang!Records) has announced the release of A Fat Comp: A Fan-Made Tribute to Fat Wreck Chords. The album features 30 covers of Fat Wreck Chords songs by 30 different bands from all over the world. The covers rang from releases spanning from 1990-1999 and features bands like Big D and the Kids Table, Armchair Martian (Jon Snodgrass, Chad Price), Much the Same, Mike Erge and Scotty Sandwich, The Shell Corporation, Sic Waiting, The Sheds, DC Fallout, Karbomb, and more.
This album is not to be confused with the soundtrack to the documentary, A Fat Wreck, but it is on correlation with the documentary and filmmakers. You can listen and download the comp for free via Bandcamp now. A 12″ double vinyl is available but NOT for sale, you can only get your hands on it by contributing to the Indiegogo campaign (for A Fat Wreck) which ends July 31, 2015.
