Aborym

If you’re sick of the flat ironed hair, makeup wearing, ‘these are my girlfriend’s jeans’ bands that are everywhere today… then I think you might want to take a moment to check out Aborym. Â With that pleasant mix of industrial and black metal, it’s sweet death growls to your ears. Â I won’t say you can find your wedding song on this album, but definitely a track to kick someone’s ass, too. For sure.

I am a fan of metal, but I wouldn’t say I’m as well versed in it as say… your typical metal head. I do like the chaotic sound the album has as a whole. Â That cohesive sound could be from the fact that the album is actually one, 52 minute long song broken into ten parts. Â This is deep, people.

Psychogrotesque is the band’s fifth album and at this point, you either love them or hate them.  They aren’t changing up their sound to gain new fans or anything like that, they’re sticking to what they do, and if you don’t like it, then you probably listen to Death Cab or something.  It definitely has that horror movie sound to it, like you might have some sort of flesh eating bacteria eating your face by the time the album is done. This band is neither cliche or  god-like, and the album has various guest vocals (which helps keep it interesting).

For any metal fan, they should definitely check it out. Â If you’re NOT a metal fan, it might make you cry. Â Just sayin.
