0Angels & Airwaves Announces First Tour in Seven Years
Tom DeLonge’s Angels & Airwaves just announced they’ll be hitting the road for the first time in seven years. The band released new music three years ago and have also broken that seal with a new track, Rebel Girl. Listen here.
The song is the lead track from the band’s upcoming album and feature film project.
“Rebel Girl is a space-age love song that combines my enduring obsession for New Wave, pop punk and anthemic rock and roll music,” says lead vocalist/guitarist Tom DeLonge. “As some of you might’ve heard, I recently took a brief minute to start up an aerospace company, so you never know – I may play this song from a satellite deep in space, beamed toward everyone’s house viciously on repeat.”
A&A (DeLonge, guitarist David Kennedy and drummer Ilan Rubin) will perform “Rebel Girl” on September 4th when they kick off the tour. The first show will take place almost seven years to the day of their last performance, which was September 2, 2012 in Bologna, Italy.
Pre-sale tickets are available now and tickets for the general public go on sale Friday, May 3rd. Visit the band’s official site for ticket details.
