0Arthur (MXPX side project) Calls it Quits!
Michael “Arthur” Herrera has his hands in many projects and now he is sans his lesser known band, Arthur. The group is calling it quits after over ten years together. The Bremerton, WA band features Mike, Yuri and [mxpx stage tech] Neil Hundt from MXPX and after Thomas Wisniewski joined, the band was complete [1997].
Frontman Mike Herrera said:
“Arthur was never a full time touring band, but we were a band none the less, which is why we’re formally BREAKING UP,” said band frontman Arthur. “It just doesn’t make sense to keep doing nothing, so we’ve collectively decided to pursue separate creative endeavors.”
The band released their debut EP, Loneliness is Bliss, in 1999 through Rock City Recordings (their newly formed independent label). The only tour to date the band did was shortly after that record dropped. The quartet started recording again in 2002 and later released Watch the Years Crawl By.
Herrera also said:
“We want to thank all of you that listened to our music and supported Arthur throughout the last decade,” said Arthur, Edmund, Alexander and Zane. “We created music for you, and the best part is that our music will never die!”
