BANDHAPPY: Learn, Chat, Play Live!
Have you ever wanted lessons from your favorite musician but you’re sort of a loser so you don’t know them personally enough to ask? WELL FRET NO MORE, LOSER FACE!
A brand new service launching called BANDHAPPY is making it possible to receive both online or in-person music lessons from a variety of artists. Some of the musicians in involved are: Tosin Abasi (Animals as Leaders), Rich Redmond (Jason Aldean Band), Gil Sharone (Stolen Babies), Jeff Loomis (Nevermore), Ben Weinman (Dillinger Escape Plan), Mike Mowery (Outerloop MGMT), Chris Adler (Lamb of God), Willie Adler (Lamb of God), AJ Minette (The Human Abstract), Evan Brewer (The Faceless), Paul Waggoner (Between the Buried and Me), Rody Walker (Protest the Hero), Peter Wichers (Soilwork), Louis Cato (Marcus Miller Band), Spencer Sotelo (Periphery), and more.
Thursday, January 5th is the launch date for the service, and lessons begin as soon as January 9th! They’ve already received thousands of requests from students, so get your requests in!!
More teachers apply each day, so the list of talented musicians will only keep growing. You also don’t have to be in a well-known band to apply to be a teacher. You can check out all the rules for applying on the official website.
The BANDHAPPY YouTube page features tutorial videos on applying to be a student or a teacher, so if you’re interested head on over to their page to check these videos out!
More features will be announced soon so keep your eyes and ears peeled. As an avid music critic myself, I can tell you that many of you really suck and lessons will only benefit you!
