0Bayside Announces New Album + Tour Dates
NYC based BAYSIDE will be releasing their seventh studio album, Vacancy, August 19th via Hopeless Records. The band will kick off a tour August 11th to support the new record, which you can pre-order now.
Bayside’s previous release, Cult, featured tracks about vocalist Anthony Raneri’s relocation to Nashville, TN, marriage and impending fatherhood and now Vacancy tells of the dissolution of his marriage and finding himself alone in the city that was meant to be his new home. He commented:
“The hotel on the album cover reflects the feelings I had while working on Vacancy,” explains Raneri. “Writing this album, I felt as if everything was uncertain, I could move back to New York, buy a house in Nashville… I just didn’t know what was going to come next. I felt very isolated and as if everything in my life was temporary at that moment.”
The band has experienced a lot of changes in the two years between the last album and this one. This new record was produced by Tim O’Heir (Sebadoh, Say Anything).
