Brody Dalle, I’m Not So Secretly In Love With You
While Brody Dalle is known mostly as the Distillers frontwoman and ex-wife of Tim Armstrong, she has a solo album coming out! After dropping an album in 2009 with her other band, Spinnerette, Dalle has sort of fallen off the radar. She’s been enjoying a more domestic lifestyle with husband Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), but never forgot her musical roots. She commented:
“I probably first starting thinking about it in 2010. I started writing it, and I was raising my daughter Camille, and then I got pregnant with my son Ryder and had to kind of stop. You become a milk machine. You’re just breastfeeding or changing diapers or attending to the needs of little humans.”

From the same interview, Dalle went on to express her excitement about her first solo album.
“I’ve been sitting on this record for about a year, desperately waiting for it to come out, and now the date is drawing closer and it seems like it’s taking forever. It was only when I was in the studio that [producer] Alain [Johannes] was like, ‘What are you going to call this? What is this? But I play 80 percent of the music on it, from drum machines to synth to bass to wood sticks. I play all of it. So I told him, ‘I guess I’m just going to call it me.'”
