Message from Buzz Killington
Hello, all! I must say that I normally write all my posts completely on my own- however, if a good idea is brought up, I will always consider using it… and well, let’s be real here, I’m not Joe Biden, so I won’t plagiarize any one’s work. =) My good friend, who will be known as Buzz Killington, has submitted an idea and I think from here on out, he will be making appearances now and then.
Here ya go!
“What happened to all my punk rockers? Full force Obama support? Bands.. even punk bands, supporting him on websites, MySpace and YouTube? The list of people and bands that are Obama fans in the “punk” scene is a long list indeed. When did the punk scene turn into a wing of the democratic party?
Doesn’t is scare some of these bands, and people, to strongly support someone who is at one with the media machine? For a scene that prides itself on openness and equality, Obama sure is given a big pass for several ties to anti-semetics and other racists..
But hey, forget about all that for a second and answer this, my friends… How is Obama different? On the surface, he is. Anyone can see that. Unfortunately, that’s all anyone seems to judge people on: the surface. How is he not part of the same machine? Both parties have shown they do nothing as well as serving themselves. The two party system is broken. It’s a joke! Both parties are basically the same. We not only need the third party (who isn’t even taken seriously, unfortunately), but we need a fourth, and a fifth! Support independent candidates or support destroying the system (A)!! But, remember, Obama is part of the system, and Louis Farikan = anti-semetic and Rev. Jereamiah Wright = Racist.
Now… punk rockers.. stop disappointing me!”
There you have it. I put my touches on it here and there, but the overall idea is all Mr. Killington, and I have to say that I totally agree!! What’s happened to the punk scene? It’s a joke! Real punk rockers want to get shit done themselves without expecting government handouts. How can we even believe what a celebrity is telling us? Remember, they are in it for the money and for all we know, they’re being PAID to support someone. Oh yeah- and isn’t punk going against the grain? How is agreeing with everything the TV tells you to do, punk? Oh wait, IT’S NOT! Suckers. Every day I am thankful that I am fully capable of making my own decisions and not letting the media machine tell me how to think. Too bad for the rest of ’em I guess.
