0Camp Freddy Benefit Show
January 24, 2011 – The Whiskey a Go Go in West Hollywood hosted a benefit for breast cancer survivor, Carolyn Williams, with performances from Camp Freddy, Head Cat and The Darling Stilettos.
Williams is a 27 year old breast cancer survivor that was diagnosed with malignant Cystosarcoma Phyllodes after being told that it was just a cyst for months. Â This is a very rare form of breast cancer that accounts for less than 1% of all breast cancer diagnosis, and it has no research or support currently, due to it’s rarity. Â This benefit was to raise awareness and help spread the word on this cancer and its effects. Â The show was also to raise funds to help Carolyn with her disease. Â I definitely enjoy seeing events like this take place, and I’m stoked that I got to be there for this one! 🙂
