How is the tour going so far? Has anything weird or crazy happened?

Tour is going awesome. I can’t believe it’s almost over already! But there have been tons of crazy things happening from crazy fans, to haunted venues, to pranks and all. It’s been a good time!

What is your most and least favorite thing about touring in general?

My least favorite thing is being away from my family. We are all really close so it’s tough. The thing I like most is seeing different places, traveling all around. I like seeing the differences in places.

If zombies were chasing you, would you trip your friend to survive?

Ah as much as I hate zombies I don’t think I’d do that to a friend haha. So I’m gonna go with no on this one.. J

Have you heard any new music lately that you just can’t get enough of?

I’ve been listening to a lot of Tegan and Sara lately. It’s not that its necessarily new but I’ve just been in the mood for it. And NOW they are touring with Paramore so that makes it even better 🙂

Now that you’ve attained a reasonable amount of success in the industry, do you notice any long lost friends or relatives popping up in your life?

Yes! At all these shows I’ve been meeting more and more family members that I have never even met before. It’s a cool feeling!

Are you ever sitting around, watching TV and hear one of your songs come on? What’s the first thing that runs through your mind?

Yeah! That happened the other night. My guitarist and I were sitting in the front lounge watching AMTV when we were bored and my video for Sick came on and I was like ‘Woah, this is crazy’. It’s so weird seeing yourself on a channel that everyone grew up watching. It’s a good kind of weird though!

Do you keep in touch with a lot of people you meet on the road?

Definitely! I think after this tour we are all going to do our best to stay in touch. We’ve all sort of become one big family and once this tour is over it’s gonna be a little weird. But I definitely plan on keeping in touch with everyone.

Have you become close with the Honor Society at all?

For sure. They are the nicest guys and I honestly feel like they have become like my big brothers. They are super chill and so easy to talk to and I still can’t thank them enough for bringing us out on this tour with them!

Is there any city that you’ve played during this tour that you hadn’t been to before; but always wanted to?

I’ve never really traveled before so going to most of the states has been a new experience for me. But the one that was really cool was Chicago. It was just an all around amazing show!

Have you had to deal with any negative media yet (hate mail, negative reviews, etc…)? [If so] what was your reaction?

I have. I mean in this industry there are gonna be people that absolutely love you and people that can’t stand you. Usually I ignore all of it but since I’m such a real person and sometimes I’m a little bit too honest, I sometimes call people out, but not in a bad way. I don’t do it to be a jerk but I do it so they can realize that I’m not just some stuck up blond bimbo behind a computer screen that just got lucky. I’m real, and I think I’m really fortunate to do what I do so sometimes I poke fun at myself on Twitter or I retweet certain things just to prove I’m normal. I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart that supports me and the ones who hate, I thank them too because at least I got them talking 😉

What would you like to see happen for yourself in the next five years? You’re still such a young musician, you have a lot ahead of you!

I just want to be on tour still, doing my thing. I want to continue meeting more and more people and inspire as many people as I can 🙂
