0Check out: SUPREME COMMANDER
DC hardcore band Supreme Commander sent me their latest release Paper Tigers. I get a TON of music sent to me and so it’s always refreshing to come across something I’m really into. Basement Records does some pretty decent stuff, so I’m definitely not surprised.
One of my favorite tracks off the record happens to be the first one, More Than You Can Chew. It was literally my first introduction to the band at all; I hadn’t heard of them before or anything so it was a nice welcome to their sound. The vocalist has a low yell similar to that of Roger Miret (Agnostic Front) with your basic fast hardcore music as the backdrop. The track Flip Flops is amazing because I am notorious for hating flip flops and this song is pretty much all about douchebags so I think we’re on the same level here.
I thought this band deserved a shout out. They’re not an angry style of hardcore, but just the good ol’ fashioned fun kind. Hearing them come through the speakers puts me in a good mood and I would recommend everyone to check them out!
Check out the band’s Facebook to learn more about them and keep up with tour dates n shit.
