Chris Farren (Fake Problems) and Grey Gordon (I have no idea who that is) Announce Split EP
Chris Farren of Fake Problems and Grey Gordon, whom I have never heard of in my life, just announced a split EP called Ducks Fly Together. It could be a Mighty Ducks reference, or just another random album title. THE WORLD MAY NEVER KNOW. No Sleep Records will be releasing the album, which drops June 17th. You can stream the track Eagle Eyes now on Noisey. In conjunction with the album release, you can also pre-order a special limited edition cassette and cassette plus t-shirt combo back.
Chris Farren commented:
“Eagle Eyes is a song I’ve had in my head for awhile. Some years ago I was arrested for trespassing in Sarasota, FL – it was harmless stuff, me and some of the other Fakey P guys were dicking around on the roof of a strip mall, biding the time before our show at the dive bar beneath. One of the other businesses called the cops when they heard us up there, and we were arrested. The song is about the utter desolation I felt during the short night I spent in jail. It didn’t matter that I was there for a pretty silly reason. There is no “Ah, this is no big deal” when you’re in a jail cell -it all feels very NOT OK. All of the mistakes I had made up until that point in my life were pounding in my head. I’m happy to be a part of a cool little thing with Grey Gordon. I really enjoy the record he’s about to put out, and my family has been encouraging me to spend more time with people with face tattoos.”
