Winnipeg, Manitoba (Canada) has given us a band that has been referred to as one of the more influential hardcore groups of our time. Comeback Kid has toured the world, been voted Alternative Press’ top 100 bands to know in 2005, and despite multiple member changes, continues to release successful album after successful album; with a new one on the way called Symptoms and Cures coming out late August/early September 2010.
To be totally honest, Comeback Kid has to be one of my favorite bands of all time. I love raw music (as in; it’s not about the ‘scene’ or the clothes, the girls or anything but music), and I feel like they represent so much of that, not even in just their music, but just overall. They are all awesome guys that have worked hard in life and deserve all the success they’ve had and all the success for them that is to come. Awwwww <3

Before this one, I actually interviewed Casey few years back with my brother, Mark, for Eugene Records. It was soon after the release of Broadcasting and during Casey’s first tour with the band. When I think back, it was one of the moments that I really thought about how much I love this industry (well.. and hate it all at the same time, haha), and would like to continue to speak with bands and see their views on everything… no matter how ridiculous the questions may be…. 🙂

Comeback Kid is a huge sigh of relief from most of the music that is dominating ‘the scene’ now a days. They are one of the bands that I am truly thankful for, in that they stay true to their sound while still developing and changing as a band as the years go on. They’ve been around and they’re go to BE around, so if you FOR SOME REASON aren’t a CBK fan, get your ass into gear and check them out. I suggest listening to Wake The Dead, which is my favorite Comeback Kid album, and then moving forward from there! 🙂
