Daylight Changed Their Name to Superheavan + Re-Releasing Jar

Superheaven, formerly known as Daylight, have announced signing with LA’s SideOneDummy Records. The Doylestown, PA alternative band will head to Studio 4 in Philly this fall to work on their second full length album, also their SideOneDummy debut.  The release for that album is set to be Spring 2015, so look forward to that!

The band comes from Run For Cover Records and the label is re-releasing their debut LP, Jar. You might recognize the album art below, just with a new band name.

Singer/guitarist Taylor Madison commented:

“We’re excited to have signed to SideOneDummy because it’s something different for us. We just felt like it was the right move. Try out something new and see what happens. The people at the label couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful, so we really look forward to working with them.”

With the album re-release and a slew of tour dates across the US and Europe, these are some busy dudes.  They’ve spent the last five years making four EP’s, their debut LP (which made it into my Top 10 Albums of 2013, by the way), amongst lots of touring. Taylor also said:

“I think we found our comfort zone with Jar and now that we’re comfortable, we’re trying to go just outside that. Plenty of people will say it’s too much this or too much that but people are morons and will say that no matter what we put out, so we don’t care.”
