To many people’s surprise; few bands actually stick true to the music they love. Â Yup… all those coordinated head bangs and MySpace haired bands don’t always believe in what they’re playing. Â I’ve learned a lot in the last few years of being shoved into what’s left of the music industry, and I have to say I’m disappointed just as much as I am pleased. Â Fortunately, bands like Death Punch are there to revive the faith! It’s refreshing to see young musicians embracing good music. Â They have an honest view of society and don’t beat around the bush, singing about love and whatever the hell those other bands scream about. Â Bringing back tones of 80’s punk with a new sound all their own, Death Punch is sure to make an impression on today’s dying scene. They might be young, but Death Punch has been together for seven years. Â SEVEN YEARS. Â You people can’t even keep a boyfriend that long, try keeping FIVE!
After they opened up for a sold out crowd at the world famous House of Blues in Hollywood (opening up for Pulley, Jughead’s Revenge and Strung Out), I hung out with the boys backstage to talk about the show, what’s to come and punching people. Â Check it out!
