Singer, songwriter and [former] Thrice frontman Dustin Kensrue will be releasing a new solo album entitled Carry the Fire on April 21st. The record will drop via Staple Records and Vagrant Records and is his long anticipated follow up to his solo debut, Please Come Home (2007).

Dustin is known for SoCal’s Thrice, but they have been put on an indefinite hiatus for the last few years. For this record, he engineered and produced is himself and Brian Eichelberger handled mixing. The album was mastered by Howie Weinberg.

Dustin commented:

“This record is a study in contrasts; light and darkness, flame and flood, true love and senseless hatred. What does it mean to ‘carry the fire’ when it so often seems like there is no light or warmth to be found at all? This is the question woven through the fabric of these ten songs.”

He is confirmed as a showcasing artist in the upcoming SXSW conference in Austin and tour dates will be announced soon.
