FALLSTAR
Excerpted from their Facebook profile (link below)
Fallstar has come a long way in just a year. After solidifying their lineup in the summer of 2008, the Portland based hardcore five piece set out to make a name for themselves beyond the local scene. Fallstar earned an endorsement deal with Veil Arms Clothing which, in November of 2008, catapulted them into their furthest reaching tour to date. They were also given the chance to partner with missionary organization Come & Live (www.comeandlive.com). With C&L now launched, the boys of Fallstar are once again poised on the edge of change and they couldn’t be more ready for the challenge.

After listening to this album I was pleasantly surprised. For a band that not many people have heard of this album is stellar. The overall production is fantastic, the vocals are great, and the instruments are in sync. The clean vocals are pleasing and the screaming vocals are rough. Surprisingly, FALLSTAR has managed to combine a slightly generic sound with a procrative unique one. If you are a fan of the Hardcore genre, you will like this band for it’s high volumes of energy. Once you press the play button and hear the intro of “Hunters,” you won’t be able to press pause.
