Hailing to us from Atlanta, Family Force 5 is one of the few Christian bands that have broken into mainstream music. Mixing techno, hip-hop, crunkcore with elements of hardcore and alternative, they create a sound that is definitely growing in popularity. Proof lies in their 26 million+ plays on MySpace, 70,000 followers on Twitter and multiple sold out shows. They even beat out bands like Blink 182 to win Alternative Press‘ Best Live Band of 2009.
Four EP’s and four full length albums deep, they continue to make music appealing to Christian music lovers as well a mainstream. In March 2010, FF5 will have a song featured in Disney’s new release of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland flick.
I had the chance to talk with ChapStick (Derek) and Nadaddy (Nathan) while on their Christmas pageant tour. Check it out!
Check out some live footage from the show:
Make sure to check out the ENTIRE album from their Christmas Pageant show in Cincinnati.
