Good Riddance, Direct Hit! @ Alex’s Bar (Long Beach)
I was so stoked on this show for so many reasons. Besides the obvious amazing lineup (Stop Breathing, The Bombpops, Direct Hit! and of course, Good Riddance), I had never been to Alex’s Bar before. Most of the time when tours hit this venue up, there are other dates much closer to me. I don’t venture to Long Beach often, but this place might start to change that! On top of being a rad music venue/bar, Alex’s Bar is also the set for “Fangtasia” in HBO’s True Blood (the vampire bar in Shreveport). I love that show so naturally, I was excited to check it out for myself.
