GWARbar Set To Open This Summer
The late Dave Brockie, aka the loved weirdo known as Oderus, had a dream of opening a Gwar-themed restaurant, according to his bandmates. Finally, months after his passing, the band is officially opening a restaurant in Richmond, VA called GWARbar. The menu items were designed by BalSac, whom is also responsible for the GWAR-B-Q sauce, and said:
“My mother taught me the endless secrets of intergalactic cooking. And then I ate her.”
Gwar is raising funds via Indiegogo to help renovate the space they got for the restaurant. There is a $50,000 goal and lots of prizes for donating including a barstool at the restaurant with your name engraved on it for a cool $1,000!
I think this restaurant sounds pretty fuckin awesome and I hope it’s a huge success. I like that the band is keeping it close to home and opening it up in their hometown of Richmond. Read the full article over on Radio.com now.
