Hard Rock Las Vegas to Welcome Blink-182

The level of maturity you’d expect from a group which had top selling albums named Enema of the State and Take Off Your Pants and Jacket is probably not that high, but the latest release California indicates otherwise. It took a breakup and a couple of switches in band members, however the result demonstrates their growth in the punk industry, and fans are thrilled to witness Blink-182 on stage again for their massive summer tour, celebrating their latest album release.

California was not only well received by longtime followers, as music critics dubbed it their best album in 15 years, with Rolling Stones calling their newest songs catchier than “The Rock Show” days. Joining the trio on the music extravaganza are another pop punk favorites, All American Rejects, along with A Day to Remember, DJ Spider, as well as other guests along the way. The tour will kick off in San Diego’s Viejas Arena on July 22, followed by back-to-back performances at The Joint in Hard Rock, Las Vegas.

Las Vegas has been on the global music industry’s radar for quite some time now, transforming the gambling mecca into a key performance venue for musicians across the genres. But as ticket sales grew, casino profits declined, as operators struggled to compete with online counterparts that simulate live dealers for classics like baccarat. Nonetheless, Las Vegas hotels still play a crucial role in the city’s tourism, enticing visitors onto the gaming floor on top of their other amenities and entertainment options. In that aspect, a concert in Sin City re-establishes the trio’s significance in the punk world while also reminding us how much we love the live action in Vegas.

Tickets for the July 23rd concert date are sold out, but if you’re lucky, you might be able to snag last minute ones for July 24. Blink will be traveling across the U.S. as well as select Canadian cities until October 1 if you can’t make it to the Vegas shows.
