Few bands can stick around for 20 years and not begin to totally suck. Â I was so thrilled to see that Helmet was playing at the Key Club in West Hollywood, because I hadn’t seen them in ten years! And even when I saw them that long ago, they had already been around the block a few times. I was thrilled to hear them start whaling and sound as great as ever!
Debuting their first album in 1990 with Amphetamine Reptile Records, it’s now 20 years later and they’ve just released a new record, Seeing Eye Dog on Work Song Records. It had been over four years since they’re last album and I think some fans might have been skeptical…. but I don’t think they’ll be disappointed. Â The new album sounds look good ol’ Helmet and includes a second live disc. Â It’s out now so go GET IT!!!!!!!!
