Joey Cape Announces New Solo Record Out September 4th
The last year has been such a great year for music; a Fat Wreck Chords revival of sorts with new albums from Good Riddance, Swinging’ Utters and of course, Lagwagon. Now, Mr. Lagwagon himself has announced a new solo album. Joey Cape is one of the most successful solo artists to come out of my favorite record label ever (Fat, duh), so it’s an understatement to say that I am stoked for this album. Stitch Puppy is scheduled to release September 4th, 2015 and Fat released the album art on Facebook yesterday.
While Randal is pushing 50, he’s changed a lot in the last few years. Stitch Puppy is said to be his darkest album yet, which makes me even more excited about it (as awful as that may sound). I’m expecting an honest album that shows us some of his fears and dark thoughts with a healthy mix of lighthearted tracks as well. I guess we will see what he’s got in store for us on September 4th when Fat releases the record.
