Just the fact that KEN Mode is an acronym for “Kill Everyone Now [Mode]” made me curious to check them out. Â Last Sunday, they stopped by The Blvd in an unexplored area of Los Angeles (unexplored by myself at least, except for being at this venue once before for another band), located just east of downtown.

I wasn’t against what I was hearing when I checked them out online, but seeing them live was definitely a much better experience. Â The contradiction of the experimental metal with singer Jesse Matthewson’s cowboy hat was at least entertaining.

These Winnipeger’s came a long way for this show, and I think the kiddies enjoyed it.
