0The Krays to Release First Live Album
New York City’s The Krays will be releasing their first live album, Live at the Silo, on Dead City Records. The 12-track album will be released as a limited edition CD and can be purchased now at Dead City Records or as a digital download through iTunes.
“I’m very excited that this record is finally getting released. I guess it’s been one of my goals to put out a proper live album,” commented vocalist, Jonathan Rosado (aka Johnny Kray). “There are so many great live records that I’ve grown up on and been inspired by. I’ve always loved hearing how bands really sound live with their songs and the different energy that gets put out in a live setting. In all the years The Krays were around and touring, this is the only show that ever got properly recorded.”
Back in 2007, the band toured with the Dropkick Murphy’s and it was that tour this Silo Nightclub performance in Reading, PA was recorded.
“We are all really proud of it. We were really on form, there are no overdubs whatsoever,” continued Rosado. “It was a great tour, Dropkick Murphys really took care of us, and the audience was great. I’m so happy Dead City Records is helping us get it out there and it’s finally seeing the light of day.”
