The biggest negative about this band is that I didn’t know about them sooner. Â Thanks to a free compilation from ThePunkSite.com featuring a Make Do and Mend track, I discovered these guys and was stoked to get to review their newest album! Â It’s no surprise that Alternative Press named them one of the top 100 bands you need to know in 2011.

Available now!!!

TRACK LIST:

1. Unknowingly Strong
2. Oak Square
3. Ghostal
4. Transparent Seas
5. For A Dreamer
6. Stand Stagger
7. Keep This
8. Thanks
9. Firewater
10. Night’s The Only Time Of Day

I really like that they chose Unknowingly Strong as the first track, because it’s a great way to start off the album. Â I really like the raspyness of James’ voice, which is consistent through the entire album. Â I’m not sure what their previous material sounds like, but they seem like a band that’s easy to recognize (whether you’ve heard the song before or not). Â I definitely like that trait in a band because it shows they stand out in one way or another.

If I had to choose a favorite track, I’d go with Transparent Seas.  It’s got a catchy chorus with a really cool melody that makes me want to listen to it over and over.  It’s not hard to listen to this album from start to finish, and then want to hit repeat.  MDAM seems like a band that will keep giving up great shit, and I am already eager for their next release!

The band is on tour now with Fireworks, and has more upcoming dates with them and The Wonder Years, Such Gold and Living with Lions. Â Peep the dates below!!
