“Making & Designing Skate Decks” CONS Project Workshop a Success!
Over 60 teens and young adults between the ages of 13-24 came to Lot 613 in Downtown Los Angeles last weekend to learn techniques on how to build a skate deck from start to finish! This CONS project included sizing and shaping raw wood and hand designing decks with spray paint, paint pens, etc.. at no cost. The event was led by non-profit skateboard manufacturing organization CreateASkate with members Chuck Hults, Cody Hanger and Jared Hager, along wish California-based artist and owner of $lave Skateboards, Ben Horton.
