1Me First & The Gimmes Gimmes “Sing in Japanese” review
Me First & The Gimmes Gimmes
Fat Wreck Chord’s very own Me First and the Gimme Gimmes released Sing in Japanese today, and I must say…. I didn’t expect it to LITERALLY BE SUNG IN JAPANESE. FUCKIN WEIRDOS.
Track List:
1. Hero
2. Kokoro No Tabi
3. Kekkon Shiyoyo
4. C-C-C
5. 22 Sai No Wakare
6. Linda Linda
Spike did a great job with the Japanese, I’m sincerely impressed. The album sounds great for what it is, but I can’t say I’ll be popping it in my car CD player anytime soon and singing along, or running on the treadmill to it at the gym, but I can appreciate the effort and it has good production value of course, being on Fat and all. They rarely disappoint me.
The six tracks go by pretty quick, but you can’t expect much different from a punk album. So yeah, the gist of my review is that THE ALBUM IS IN FUCKING JAPANESE YOU WEIRDO PANTS. Thumbs up for the creativity and stuff, but I probably won’t be listening to it again. Maybe in the background of a party or something? But we all know I’m getting too old to throw house parties, my bag is going to the bar and drinking myself to the floor until someone peels me up and makes sure I get home okay… you know, the mature way to enjoy a cocktail (or eleven)! BYE.
