With all the bands out there today, sometimes it’s hard to discover new music. Well, don’t fret my little pea-pods, Punk World Views is at your rescue. I want you all to take a minute and check out Houston, TX based band, Otenki! Think of a baby between OLD Emanuel and Taking Back Sunday. Tracks like The Tie That Binds Us have a bit more techno influence than others, and then there are songs like The Impossible, which will take you back to your happy high school days of power, pop-punk tunes you can dance in your car too. Yay 🙂

On the band’s debut EP, Making Sense of Static, they worked with Paul Leavitt (Senses Fail, All Time Low, Circa Survive), which gained the attention of Alternative Press Magazine, Abosolutepunk.net, Thedailychorus.com, French Music/Pop Culture magazine ROCK ONE, and more! Otenki has performed at several Warped and Rockstar Taste of Chaos Tours, and plans to enter the studio next month with James Paul Wisner (The Academy Is… Paramore, underOATH) on new tracks. Since their forming in 2004, they’ve climbing up in the music world, and you need to follow them up the goddamn ladder, people! COME ON!

You can easily check them out on their MySpace, PureVolume, or follow them on Twitter! Be sure to keep checking back at PUNKWORLDVIEWS.com for all your music and blurby-blurb needs! 🙂 BAM!
