0Our Hometown Disaster *Album Review*
Once in a while, I get an album of a new band that I just fall in love with (but this is rare… haha). Our Hometown Disaster‘s new album, The Good Life, has been playing almost non stop the past month. It’s got that pop-punk flavor that just puts me in a freakin good mood. They have that great catchy-punk sound like Good Riddance, 88 Fingers Louie and Pennywise.
Track List:
end of the road
search party
die by the sword
nasty, hand me a match
the divorce
i’m getting too old for shit sh*t
the last place on earth
time and circumstance
the reckoning
the good life
“The members of OUR HOMETOWN DISASTER hail from the following Sacramento bands: Drowning Adam, Hoods, Lesdystics, A Borrowed Life, Losing All Pride, Vomit, Ladies Night in Loserville, Five Victims Four Graves, and the Reverlry. If you try and add together all of the shows performed by each member of this new band, the total number will be in the 1000’s!!!
OHD is energetic as f*ck… WATCH OUT!!! Look forward to new music real quick, the band is working at a pace that cant be stopped! Their goal is to prove that Sacramento’s punk roots are still firmly planted in a land where pussy emo and cock rock are running rampant!”

Their album was just released last month, and I highly recommend purchasing it! You can give them a listen at their MySpace.
From beginning to end, The Good Life keeps your ears interested. With an upbeat, classic punk sound, I can’t be in a bad mood and listen to this album. There’s a nice range of attitude between tracks like search party, which is a slap happy track about partying all night, and songs like die by the sword that have a more serious tone, but is still a totally rad and catchy song.
Overall, the whole album is fucking amazing and you should check them out. Our Hometown Disaster isn’t currently doing any nationwide tours, but if you’re in the Southern California area, try to check out a live show as well.
They did a great interview with SubMerge Magazine, you can check it out here.
