They’ve been called one of the most forward thinking progressive metal bands around, and their new album Scurrilous only solidifies that statement.  I have yet to be let down by Protest the Hero (Vagrant Records), which is more than I can say for a lot of bands! With a new album and a headlining tour, things are not slowing down for these Canadians weenies.  Before their set at The Troubadour in West Hollywood, I got to talk with the resident bass slapper, Arif Mirabdolbaghi (I can’t pronounce it either).  We ventured into conversations about twitter, William Shatner and trombones.  Check it out!
