Reality Slap Debuts New Track From Upcoming EP, Limitless
Portuguese hardcore band REALITY SLAP is releasing a new EP, Limitless, via WAR Records next month and the band has debuted a new track for the title track! Check it out over at New Noise Magazine.
Back in 2012, I put the band’s album Necks & Ropes in my Top 10 Albums of 2012 at number 5. I hadn’t heard of Reality Slap prior to receiving the album download for review, and I was really into it! I listened to that record a lot and still do every once in a while.
Vocalist Johnny commented about the video:
“‘Limitless’ is the first video for the new EP. We wanted to get a little trippy and show a bit of the vibe of our new sound. The DIY spirit is always present in everything we do, it’s a very important side of this scene so we got our hands dirty and did everything ourselves at [drummer] Tiago’s house in one afternoon. We have a thing about trashing houses while playing music as everyone can see when we played a show at our friend’s flat and recorded a video for ‘The End’.”
WAR Records was founded by Strife’s Andrew Kline, and he also added:
“I’m excited to be working with REALITY SLAP to release Limitless… The first time I heard the EP I was blown away. Hardcore kids need to look beyond their borders and see that there are great bands coming from all corners of the world. I really think that REALITY SLAP is the band that can bridge that gap and really wave the flag for the European and worldwide hardcore scene.”
