Special Events for GWAR B-Q Announced
If you’re planning to attend the annual GWAR B-Q, you are in for quite the treat. As if the event isn’t just fucking awesome in general, now the special events have been announced. August 14, 15 and 16th will be full of luring human activities such as:
The Spew-O-Lympics: a semi-aquatic-flail-fest of despair! Wanna-be contestants are required to submit a short essay on why they feel they should be considered to participate in this hallowed event. Longer than 200 words ensures immediate disqualification (and dismemberment). The band themselves will read these essays while taking a dump, and judge the top selections. Also returning this year is the GWAR-B-Q, Rolling Wheels of DeathSkate Park. A second half pipe over 6′ tall and 12′ wide with a 7′ transition has been added and you must be 18 to ever the park and a waiver has to be signed. Don’t fuck up.
The FBM Bike Co. has some freakazoids returning with multiple bike ramps for you to almost bust your face on (but don’t).
One of the coolest things in my opinion, The Crypt of Chaos is a GWAR-themed horror experience combining Slave Pit’s artistry and Tim Bunch’s House of Horrors. It’s said to be one of the sickest and most terrifying experiences you’ll incur in your pointless, human existence. Enter at your own risk!
Something brand new is the GWARRIOR Costume Contest! Feel free to make the most deranged costume you can come up with for a chance to win a variety of prizes including a BKT6FR GUITAR from BLAKHART, tons of SWAG from MONSTER and a GWAR B-Q skate deck. The winner will be announced live on stage during a contest judged by Tony Foresta of Municipal Waste/Iron Reagan. Get to creating something weird, you freaks!
