0Stiff Little Fingers Re-Issuing “No Going Back” for 40th Anniversary
Formed back in 1977, Stiff Little Fingers has been around the damn block and considered to be one of the bands at the forefront of the punk movement. Initially, the band wrote about growing up at the height of The Troubles in Northern Ireland and were first played on BBC Radio One by DJ John Peel, who played their tracks every night. In 1979, they were the first band to ever hit the UK Top 20 album charts on an independent label with Inflammable Material. Now, decades later, the band is re-issuing their album No Going Back for the band’s 40th anniversary. FOURTY YEARS, PEOPLE. You can pre-order the album on iTunes and Amazon now.
Over the decades, SLF continued to release energetic albums and have rich live shows. No Going Back was originally released in March of 2014 and showed real growth in the band. The re-issue will come in a 2-CD digipak edition with 12 exclusive songs including an acoustic version of My Dark Places and a live version of When We Were Young.
