Strung Out Announce Twisted In A Suburban Wasteland Tour

Punk rock veterans Strung Out have recently announced a string of headlining shows.  On top of that already kick ass news, the band will be playing both of their landmark albums, Twisted By Design and Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues. On a clever note, the tour is named Twisted In A Suburban Wasteland Tour. Har.

I was in middle school when these albums came out and they don’t feature tracks that are often played live by the band anymore since they’ve had a slew of records come out since these two were releases on Fat Wreck Chords.

No way in hell I’m missing the September 29th show in Los Angeles.  Check the dates below to see if they’re swinging through your crappy town and don’t miss this shit! Opening acts include The Swellers, Such Gold and The Sheds. Not too shabby.

Sep 22 The Conservatory Oklahoma City, OK
Sep 23 Trees Dallas, TX
Sep 25 Launchpad Albuquerque, NM
Sep 26 Orpheum Theatre Flagstaff, AZ
Sep 27 Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, NV
Sep 28 House of Blues San Diego, CA
Sep 29 House of Blues West Hollywood, CA
Sep 30 Velvet Jones Santa Barbara, CA
Oct 02 B Ryders Bakersfield, CA
Oct 03 Slim’s San Francisco, CA
Oct 04 Atrium at The Catalyst Santa Cruz, CA
Oct 05 House of Blues Anaheim, CA

“Some of our very first tours were opening for Strung Out, so I had the opportunity to see them live over and over. Growing up in the punk scene, but always having one foot in the metal scene, I appreciated the metal they blended together with pop and punk. Their complex riffs and harmonies challenged and inspired the scores of bands that would walk in their footsteps…” –Tim McIlrath of Rise Against

“They were a huge influence on Thrice in our early stages, and I don’t think I’d be in a band today if they didn’t pique my interest in music back then…” –Riley Breckenridge of Thrice

“Strung Out was a major contributor to my musical influences growing up. I still love throwing on Strung Out to hear the soundtrack to some of my greatest summers…” –M. Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold
